Evolution Gaming builds its “Infinite” format with new Power Blackjack live dealer game

Building on the success of its Infinite format, Evolution Gaming has launched its newest scalable Blackjack game, Power Blackjack.

One of 12 new Evolution games premiered at ICE 2020,  Power Blackjack, like all of the Latvian provider’s Infinite games offers unlimited seating for players at a single table, with the added bonus of allowing players the opportunity to boost their winnings by opting to double, triple or quadruple their bet on the first two cards dealt, even following a split.

Gameplay:

The new game is played with eight decks of cards, minus the 9s and 10s from each deck, with the face cards remaining, which means the shoe is 64 cards lighter and the opportunity to attempt new strategies during gameplay. Power Blackjack also comes with four optional side bets including Any Pair, 21+3, Hot 3 and Bust It, and there is no Six Card Charlie rule.

Keeping it fresh:

Commenting on the launch in an official press release, Chief Product Officer for Evolution Gaming, Todd Haushalter, said…

“With this game the mission was to give players more of what they love about Blackjack without changing the underlying gameplay. We know that players love classic Blackjack, but we are always looking for new ways to keep it fresh. Creating a version where players can triple and quadruple down, instead of just double down, felt like a great way to do this.”

Haushalter added…

“A few years ago we created Infinite Blackjack, which is simply a Blackjack platform that allows an unlimited number of players at just one table, instead of the standard seven seats. Building on the success of our proven Infinite format, we have created further new Blackjack game types such as Free Bet Blackjack and now Power Blackjack, with more to come in the future.”

Infinite range:

Power Blackjack is the latest of several new adaptations of classic table games, with Free Bet Blackjack, which along with 2 Hand Casino Hold’em, was introduced in late May and is also part of the popular Infinite range. The release of the new version of Blackjack is in keeping with Evolution’s mission to continuously work to further strengthen its positioning as a leading developer in these traditional gaming verticals, according to the Riga-headquartered company.

US Live Casino market advance:

Paving the way for further growth in the US live casino market, last month Evolution inked a strategic agreement with Golden Nugget for its goldennugget.com, which gives online players access to unique game types from its ever-growing portfolio.

Via the deal, games will be live-streamed to players in New Jersey from the developer’s Atlantic City Live Casino studio, or from the Golden Nugget Live Studio, and appear as part of Golden Nugget’s extended live games offering in addition to Golden Nugget’s Ezugi-powered titles.

The deal further strengthens the developer’s position in the Garden State while providing an “additional strategic platform from which to introduce additional new games to the US, including titles that have already been very successful in the Live Casino space in Europe,” said Chief Commercial Officer for Evolution Gaming, Sebastian Johannisson, in a recent press release.

Both companies have also stated that, as online gaming legislation evolves in the US, they will jointly explore opportunities in other US states.
